Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19 1965 is an American actress. She also works as a producer and director. Her most well-known role is that of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. Following the conclusion of the seventh season, the show was canceled on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her role in the show in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was a New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) was an educator and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian and with English descent. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and has stated that she participates in Passover seders.
